Product Description

Stainless Steel Western Dee with Sweet Iron Bristol Roller (MB 11) Copper Inlay Mouth. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes. About the mouthpiece: the 11 mouthpiece is a more comfortable Myler version of the traditional French link mouthpiece. The traditional link typically measures 1 ¾" long and ½" wide (at the narrowest point); in comparison, the Myler French link with the copper roller measures 1 ⅜" long. The copper roller wrapped around the center is ⅝" wide diameter. The smaller link allows the tongue more room in the mouth and the copper roller removes any edges that might be uncomfortable against the tongue or the palate. Although it lacks the benefits of a “true” Myler mouthpiece, the 11 has the distinctive curve so the bars of the bit wrap the horse’s bar and lips instead of pinching. The curve also creates more space for the horse's tongue under the bit. The link will disperse pressure over the tongue similarly to the 02, but does not offer the Independent Side Movement of a true Myler mouthpiece. The 11 is popular with riders who are more comfortable with a traditional design, but we recommend the 01, 02, or 03 to get the full benefit of Myler features. For more tongue relief, step up to the 04. From The Level Best for Your Horse by Dale, Ron and Bob Myler. ©Toklat Originals, Inc.

I have a horse who is a very good boy. He didn't deserve the bit he had prior. He's 16 and been there and done that for a veteran he deserved a nicer bit. The last bit... Too harsh. He got this bit and really relaxed into it. Good foaming, good mind relaxation with the roller. Yawns, blows out He gaits better. He's able to stretch down as needed and no shank means the pole drops and the back comes up and he can support my weight better.
